Driver arrested, cyclist injured after accident near YewTee Point

The police and SCDF said they were alerted to the accident in Choa Chu Kang North 6, towards Choa Chu Kang Way, at about 5am on April 29.

SINGAPORE – A 50-year-old car driver was arrested after an accident that left a cyclist injured near YewTee Point in Choa Chu Kang on April 29.
The police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the accident involving two cars and a bicycle in Choa Chu Kang North 6, towards Choa Chu Kang Way, at about 5am on April 29.
A male cyclist, 77, was taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, they said.
The car driver was arrested for careless driving causing grievous hurt.
An image of the aftermath of the accident circulating online shows what appears to be two police motorcycles at the accident site.
A bicycle is on the road a few metres in front of one of the motorcycles.
A section of the road is also cordoned off with traffic cones.
Investigations are ongoing.
